The Agape Box

2 Kings 12:9 "But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the Lord: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the Lord."

First time in Scripture I've ever actually seen an example of an offering box. Of course, many churches today do not take up offerings, but use boxes like this. I guess it could be said that it is biblical. However, I still do not have a problem with offering plates being passed. Actually, I've come to prefer them. Not casting judgment, just preference.
