7.6 Times

According to Bill Fay and his book "Sharing Jesus Without Fear", on average, nonbelievers must hear the gospel 7.6 times before they will receive it. So if anyone rejects the gospel that you share with them, remember that God promises in His Word that "my word that does forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

Court Jesters

Speaking on the issue of the "pursuit of happiness" in our culture, Rit Varriale says in his book Reformation in Responsibility, "We have become the first society in the history of the world to consistently pay court jesters (athletes and entertainers) more money than philosophers, physicians, and kings (educators, doctors, and politicians).
